Introduction

I've collected some photos of birds around NE for a year and a half. I am just posting them in groups of similar birds. Some were hard to get, and I just have a point and shoot Canon at 30x. This, for example, a LeConte's sparrow. This at Jack Sinn West near Ceresco. Click the photo for a bigger view.

I'm hoping to get some song sparrows and other birds whose appearance varies a lot, to get some feel for what they look like here in the great plains.

Lincoln's Sparrow. Nests in Canada.

Lark sparrows go through in spring, some nest here but more of them West of Lincoln.
